This past Saturday I spent a long time on a Twitter Space (similar to a Zoom call without video, thank goodness)… with some great folks who follow Casey Kasem’s American Top 40 on Sirius XM 70s on 7… they live-Tweet the show every Saturday by following the hashtag #AT40. Being a part of this after-show chat was just an incredible experience. These people were such a pleasure to speak with. We had a great discussion about the top songs this week in 1971,
what the songs meant to us, what we were doing at that time, and of course I shared some of my own experiences from “the glory days”… It must have been MEANT to happen, cause, frankly, I have run into a really bad streak of luck and this lifted me back out of it… the hard times are not over by any means, but my new friends sure helped. The late Bob Saget had a great saying…”Wow I love ya’ll…I just wanna take a bath with ya and throw in a toaster”. Hahaha. I am SUCH a NUT… on this, we can ALL agree. I strongly encourage everyone to tune in to this great show each Saturday… Casey Kasem is probably smiling down from whatever planet he is now on, Lord Love him….!!!!! Anyway… man, I sure do pray that things start looking up soon… Stay safe and well…
It was OUR pleasure, Ron. And things are going to look better very soon, you bet. ✨️- Ollie
Thank you so much, Ollie… looking forward to the next time!
Thank you so much, Ollie… looking forward to the next time!
I am sure they were just as happy to have you as their guest!!! People are brought into your life when you least expect it. Glad they made you happy and took you out of how you were feeling.
Can we listen to your discussion? Was it taped?
Unfortunately, the Twitter Space didn’t record, but there will be a next time.
