About the new music…I have been working over the past 2 years on a very special project with Ginger Eldridge. It’s an album called Rewind, a collection of 14 songs that we both thought deserved to be reimagined. At its core, it’s a tribute to the writers and performers behind some of the greatest songs ever recorded.

What began as just me as the One-Man-Band with Ginger handling all lead and background vocals, has grown into having 4 top-tier musicians come on board. I played the keyboards, drums and synths, Scotty Simpson on bass, Donnie Carr and Tom Hemby on guitars…and maybe even one more surprise player coming in at the buzzer. Stay tuned. Every one of these guys are as good as it gets and I’m honored to have each of them contribute their talent to this project.

I want to give a big thanks to Fred Satterfield and David Smith with Regal City Media for designing the album cover and Rewind logo, and Jodi Miller, a seasoned graphic designer with a long list of album credits, who created the first single cover art. Thanks to Jon Mir for taking time out of his busy day to come to Grimey’s New & Preloved Music & Books and take some photos, as well as Doyle Davis of Grimey’s for allowing us to take some pictures in his fine store.
I have to say this is one of the best — if not the best — projects I have ever worked on in my long career. I am so proud of it, and I do hope that everyone will give it a listen. The first single “Holdin’ On To Yesterday” (originally by Ambrosia), is now live across all major streaming platforms. The full album will follow soon after.
This all really does mean a lot to me. We are not trying to move musical mountains…we just want to honor great artists and great songs. If you give it a listen, we’d be glad to hear your thoughts on it.
I will certainly listen to it, Ron. CONGRATULATIONS !!
It’s been a hike since we communicated… Greetings from Toronto 🇨🇦
